Activision has reportedly given a number of NBA players a first look at Call of Duty 2023, as part of the NBA’s Summer League in Las Vegas.
Social media posts on Instagram and shared on Twitter showcase NBA players sitting at PS5 stations where they are apparently playing this year’s Call of Duty game. However, CharlieIntel reports that they are being shown a demo of Call of Duty 2023 but were only playing Warzone.
In addition to the demo itself, we can also see banners of the new Call of Duty logo at the event, which was previously showcased on the series’ official channels.
Call of Duty 2023 is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, and while Activision hasn’t revealed the title yet, it did previously state in a financial call that it would be a ‘full premium release.’ However, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier said that the game will actually be an expansion to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
